Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Superapps Studio ("we", "us", "our") collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it across our apps and website. We only collect what's needed, we explain why, and we avoid dark patterns. This is written in plain language. It's meant to be read, not buried.
Your privacy at a glance
- We collect only what an app needs to work for you.
- We never sell your personal data.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- You can delete your data, or your whole account, at any time.
This summary is for quick orientation. The full policy below is what governs how we handle your information.
01 Introduction
Superapps Studio builds small, useful apps for everyday life. We believe privacy is part of good design. This policy describes how we handle data across our apps (Leaf.Wise, Un.hidden, Stock.ed, and any future ones).
If a specific app needs extra detail, we'll include a notice inside that app or on its page. If there's ever a conflict between this policy and an app's notice, the app notice wins for that app.
02 Apps covered by this policy
This policy covers the Superapps Studio website and our apps, including:
- Leaf.Wise, our context-aware plant care app.
- Un.hidden, an emotionally intelligent message decoder.
- Stock.ed, a kitchen inventory that tracks food, supports shopping, suggests recipes, and helps reduce waste.
- Future Superapps Studio apps, unless they publish their own policy.
03 Information we collect
We only collect what an app actually needs to work well for you. Depending on the app and the features you use, this may include:
Account information
If an app offers accounts, we may store your email address and basic profile details so you can sign in and sync across devices.
Plant photos
In Leaf.Wise, photos you add of your plants. We use these for identification, building a care profile, and diagnosis.
Plant care data
Details you provide about your plants and care, such as plant type, pot size, soil, placement, watering history, and notes.
Location or city information
An approximate location or a city you choose, used to fetch local weather and rainfall so we can tailor care to your conditions. You control whether to share this.
Messages and decode context
When you use Un.hidden, the message and optional context you submit are sent to Un.hidden's API to generate your decode. People and history you choose to save stay on your device. We don't use your messages for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Kitchen inventory and shopping data
In Stock.ed, we process the food and household items you add to your fridge, freezer, pantry, and shopping list. This may include item names, quantities, storage locations, barcodes, prices, expiry dates or estimates, running-low status, and ingredients added from recipes.
Food preferences and cooking activity
Stock.ed may process dietary preferences, allergies, ingredient likes or dislikes, recipe ratings, and cooking history so it can filter and tailor recipe suggestions and remember what you cooked.
Receipt, grocery, and dish photos
When you choose a Stock.ed photo-analysis feature, the selected receipt, grocery, or dish photo is sent temporarily for the analysis you request. A dish photo you choose to save with your cooking history is copied to Stock.ed's local app storage and remains on your device; it is not synchronized with your Stock.ed account.
Usage data
Basic information about how the app is used (for example, which features are opened) to help us fix bugs and improve quality. We keep this minimal and respectful of your privacy.
Payment and subscription data
Leaf.Wise Pro, Un.hidden Pro, and Stock.ed purchases are handled by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. Leaf.Wise Pro is available through monthly and yearly subscriptions; Un.hidden Pro through weekly and monthly subscriptions; and Stock.ed Plus through monthly and annual subscriptions or a one-time Stock.ed Lifetime purchase. We receive purchase status, product, and entitlement information so each app can unlock paid features, but we don't receive or store your full payment card details.
04 How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Run the app: make the features you use work as intended.
- Identify plants: match your photos to likely species.
- Adjust for weather: tailor recommendations using local conditions and rainfall.
- Diagnose issues: offer likely problem identification with context.
- Improve quality: understand what's working and what isn't.
- Decode messages: process the message and context you submit to produce Un.hidden's interpretation and reply suggestions.
- Organize your kitchen: synchronize inventory, expiry information, and shopping-list data across your Stock.ed sessions and devices.
- Analyze food inputs: extract items from receipts, identify grocery products and barcodes, and interpret dish photos when you request those features.
- Suggest recipes: use inventory, expiry information, dietary preferences, allergies, ratings, and cooking history to filter and tailor Stock.ed recipe suggestions.
- Help you out: respond to your questions and fix problems.
05 Third party services
To make certain features work, we rely on trusted outside services. These providers only process data as needed to do their job. Depending on the app and features you use, these may include:
- Supabase for anonymous or account authentication, database synchronization, storage, and server-side functions.
- Plant.id or Pl@ntNet for plant identification from photos.
- OpenWeather for local weather and rainfall data.
- Google Cloud Vision for extracting text from Stock.ed receipt photos.
- OpenAI for identifying items in Stock.ed grocery and dish photos, refining receipt results when needed, and generating personalized recipe suggestions from the kitchen and preference data you provide.
- Open Food Facts for looking up product information from barcodes.
- RevenueCat for managing Leaf.Wise Pro, Un.hidden Pro, Stock.ed Plus subscriptions, and Stock.ed Lifetime purchases, and checking entitlement status.
- Google Analytics for measuring visits and interactions on the Superapps Studio website. It may receive browser, device, approximate-location, cookie, and interaction information; it is not used by us for cross-app tracking.
Sentry status: Stock.ed includes support for Sentry crash and error reporting, but it is disabled unless a Sentry connection is configured. In the app configuration reviewed for this policy, no Sentry DSN was set. If we enable it, we will update this policy before sending crash diagnostics to Sentry.
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We pick providers that help us keep your data secure and minimal.
06 Photos and app data
Leaf.Wise photos you add are used to identify plants, build care profiles, and support diagnosis. They're tied to your account or device so your plants stay organized. We don't use your photos for advertising, and we don't sell them.
In Stock.ed, receipt, grocery, and dish photos selected for analysis are read from your device and sent through our Supabase server-side functions to Google Cloud Vision and/or OpenAI only to perform the feature you requested. We do not intentionally save the original analysis image in the Stock.ed database after the request finishes. These providers process the image or extracted content under their own privacy practices. Limited operational logs, which may include extracted receipt text, can be retained temporarily for debugging, security, and service reliability.
If you save a dish photo with a cooking-history entry, Stock.ed stores a local copy in the app's document storage on that device. That saved dish photo is not included in account synchronization. Any original photo already in your photo library remains under your device's controls.
You can delete a plant, its photos, kitchen data, shopping items, or cooking-history entries from within the relevant app. Deleting removes them from active app data, though temporary backups may hold synchronized data briefly as described below.
07 Location and weather
Our weather features use an approximate location or a city you choose to pull local conditions and rainfall. You can use the app without sharing precise location, and you can change or remove it at any time. We only use location to power weather features.
08 Storage and security
We use reputable infrastructure and reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe and limit who can access it.
09 Data retention
We keep your information for as long as we need it to run the app and for legitimate operational reasons like backups, security, and debugging. In Un.hidden, people and decode history you choose to save stay on your device. In Stock.ed, saved dish photos stay on the device until you delete the related history, clear the app's data, or remove the app; synchronized kitchen and account data stays on our systems until you delete it or your account. Original images submitted only for analysis are not intentionally retained in the Stock.ed database after processing, while limited operational logs and provider records may be kept for their applicable retention periods. When you delete server-held content or your account, we remove it from active systems and from routine backups within a reasonable time.
10 Deletion and export
You're in control of your data. In apps that offer accounts, you can permanently delete your account and all the personal data that goes with it from Account in the app. You can also delete individual things like a plant, its photos, Stock.ed kitchen or cooking-history data, or locally saved Un.hidden data at any time.
You can also ask us for a copy of your personal data, or for help deleting it. We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
11 Children's privacy
Our apps are for a general audience and are not aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if higher). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, reach out at hello@superapps.studio and we'll delete it right away.
12 International users
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. By using our apps, you understand your information may be transferred to and handled in those locations, with appropriate protections in place.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps grow and change. When we make meaningful updates, we'll change the date at the top and let you know in the app when it makes sense. If you keep using the app after a change, that means you accept the new policy.
