It's real, and it's close. After months of building, testing, and quietly talking to our plants for encouragement, we can finally say it out loud: Leafwise launches on Monday, July 20, free on the iOS App Store. Our first Superapp, out in the world in just a few days.
We've spent the last few weeks on this blog talking about the why behind each app we're building. Now it's time for the first what: an actual release date.
What Leafwise is, in one line
Leafwise is the plant care app that knows when not to water. Instead of a rigid schedule that nags you every Sunday no matter what, it reads the context around each plant, your local weather, recent rainfall, where the plant sits, how you've been caring for it, and tells you whether to water, wait, or check the soil.
If you've ever overwatered a succulent, forgotten a fern for three weeks, or wondered whether your living room gets enough light for a fiddle leaf fig, it's the app we built for exactly that. Because we built it for ourselves first.
What you'll get on day one
- Weather-aware watering: recommendations that factor in real rainfall, temperature, and humidity, so you're never watering a balcony plant the morning after a downpour.
- Placement and light tracking: tell Leafwise which window a plant faces and whether it's indoors or out, and its advice adapts.

How to be ready on Monday
Not much to do, honestly. On July 20 we'll share the App Store link right here and across our channels, so the easiest thing is to check back on launch day. If you want a small head start, take a quick mental inventory of your plants, which windows they sit by, when you last watered, so you can set them up in a couple of minutes once the app is live.
